The Days of a Tree...

For as the days of a tree,
so will be the days of My people;

My chosen ones will long enjoy
the works of their hands.
They will not toil in vain
or bear children doomed to misfortune;
for they will be a people blessed by the Lord,
they and their descendants with them.
Before they call, I will answer;
while they are still speaking, I will hear.
-Isaiah 65:22-24

I love the pecan trees that tower over Freeman House. They bud, they leaf, they produce, they sleep... forever watching, sheltering, and solidly there.

Somehow - this morning - the assurance that just as a pecan tree never forgets its nature, so too does God never forget His children, is powerful to me. It gives me strength. For just like the pecan, my God is always watching, always sheltering, and always, always there...

I have a busy Friday and chaotic weekend planned, but I wanted to take a moment to wish you a happy weekend. May we all look to the days of a tree and be reminded of how deeply and completely we are loved! -B

Yes wonderful thoughts! Makes me think of how God is our help and our home-a home that last forever! He cannot be burned down or broken into or forclosed on. "In Him we live and move and have our being" Acts 17:28. And yes! how He loves us-"I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20.
So very nice to meet you! I enjoyed your heartfelt thoughts and taking a peek at the progress on your home. It all sounds wonderful, although I know its a lot of hard work too! Thanks for your very encouraging comment and for stopping by the cabin!
