Spring has returned.
The Earth is like a child that knows poems.
-Rainer Maria Rilke
I walked downtown in the drizzly, expectant evening....
Blooms and colors danced through yards and over pavement.
The air felt sweet.
The trees seemed to exclaim in blessed sighs....
Surprises sprouted at every turn....
And my corner of the world seemed to be extending a gloved hand, saying:
Happy Spring!

Your blog is so uplifting...I really enjoy reading it. Your words and pictures are cozy and homey and uncover the beauty and loveliness within you. I'm always very surprised there are not more comments telling you that!
Hi Cathleen!
I don't believe I've seen your name here before.... Welcome! I'm honored you took a minute of your day to spend with me. Thanks!
Wow. I appreciate your kind comment! (Seriously. It brought tears to my eyes.) Although I'm not exactly sure why, I have seem to have a corner on the blog reader world that - will not - comment! [Laugh] Oh well! Makes me treasure comments like yours all more.
Hope you'll stop back by whenever you have the time and inclination...

I must say that the spring blossoms are my favorite. I am originally from Fresno, CA and there they have a "Blossom Trail" (http://www.co.fresno.ca.us/4510/tourism/BlossomTrail/BlossomIndex.asp). I hope that link works!
Anyways, it's just beautiful now in spring, isn't it? I love it also!
Glad to hear you enjoyed the salsa recipe. Let us know how it turns out for you!

I enjoy coming here every day. Great spring pics. Lynette
What pretty spring colors, and I think your blog is wonderful, I enjoy reading about your journey, the house looks so cozy!
Brin,
Beautiful pictures! I am a photography freak, too! Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog - glad you enjoyed it - and can't wait to hear how you like the Taco Chicken! It's one of my favorites! Do you mind if I put a link to your blog on my blog (www.kellykirbyfisher.blogspot.com)? Thanks again!
Kelly
You already have such great color there! It's barely getting started here on the mountain. I was in town and all the Bradfor Pears are blooming. So nice to see after our cold winter!
I just showed Uncle Tim the pics of the progress on the library and fireplace. He also liked today's pics. He said, "She's good. Good blogger." I agree! I love reading and have enjoyed getting to know you through the blog even more than I already knew you. It makes my day! You're beautiful inside and out.
Dear Brin,
I absolutely LOVE! the pictures! They are beautiful to behold!
Spring is a long time coming yet for us in the Northeast and to see the beautiful flowering trees with your lovely verse is uplifting to my heart! Have a wonderful day! Claudia O. (I love Pam Garrison too!)
Hey again gals!
Ann - Thanks for the link! I think I found it, and gosh... a blossom trail is divine! Thanks for sharing!
Sue - Hi! Glad you stopped in! I'm glad the house -looks- cozy, because in some places it's still downright scary! (There's one room I won't even go into, but that's another story.) Hope to see you again soon!
Kelly - Your blog... is fantastic. I spent way too long reading it last night when I should have been folding socks. Worth every minute! I'm honored you would even think to list my blog, so by all means, go ahead! If you don't care, I'll list yours, too. I need to update the list...
Rosemary - Hello! You have Bradford Pears? You're so blessed. Those are the most beautiful bloomers, aren't they? Glad to see you again so soon!
Aunt Mindy - I consider the fact that you even READ this to be so, so cool... considering that you, in fact, are the Queen of Cool. Tell Uncle T, K, and J I said hello! Love you!
Claudia - It's hard to believe someone would write such a sweet comment without any money changing hands! ;) Thanks for those kind words. I'm sure the Northeast will get your spring touch soon. And when you do, please share! I've never seen you guys in the spring before...
