The Weekend Wordler

Have you guys seen Wordle? I just found it this week and adore it. I even love the name: wordle. Wordle. Isn't that the greatest word you've heard in so long?

After a few minutes of thinking I typed my favorite Bible verse (for right now, anyway), into Wordle's copy line. It's Zephaniah 3:17: "The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." I liked the wordle it came up with, pictured above. I want to crossstitch it onto a towel or pillow or something. Words are the neatest thing, I think, so God's words? They're gravy.

Here's another Wordle I did by looking around the house and typing what I saw:

So fun.

There's a Fall Festival at church tonight which always ends in a chili cookoff and dessert auction. This year I'm making mini blackberry cobblers and something I'm calling Sugar Shoes. I have to show you those next week. You will scream. They're that great.

Gotta run back to the kitchen, which today consists of a plugged-in stove, a sink, and a makeshift island. Just wanted to poke my head in and wish you a happy weekend. A happy wordle weekend. -Brin

I love Wordle:

I made a couple a few months ago, including one from the entire book on Philippians. Its neat to see the most prominent words in it:

Love that Wordle...and while I thought I was just checking in, turns out your scripture was exactly what I needed to hear today...God's arrow shot straight to my heart. I will write it down and carry it with me today.

Blessings to you this weekend.

You've found a very neat thing. Thank you for sharing it. "Sugar shoes" has me very curious.

I love thinking about words. Even more than that, I get so worked up when I think about God's words, about how he uses words, about how he IS the word, how it's his words that hold all things together. I don't know if you're a big John Piper fan or not, but his notes on words are great: http://www.desiringgod.org/events/NationalConferences/Archives/2008/

I enjoy your words too. Your puppy is getting big!

That Wordle is great but how did you get it on your blog? I tried saving it but didn't know how to put on my blog. That scripture was very nice. Good luck in your home and have fun.

I love this wordle. Thanks for introducing it to us. I've been having fun playing with it, but can't figure how to get it on my blog. Anyone want to help. Email me at valiegal@hotmail.com

Valie Gal,

There may be an easier way to do this, but here's what I did: when you complete your Wordle, scroll down and copy and paste the HTML code where it asks if you'd like to display the Wordle on your blog. Copy and paste that code into the HTML editor on a new post on your blog. After you publish your blog, right click on the Wordle and "save as" to your computer. There you go!

Clear as mud? (Grin)

Oh WOW! I didn't know that was your favorite verse?! It's mine too! I didn't discover it until way into college so there's no way we copied each other... Funny... I like that we are both so drawn to that. Makes me feel even closer to you, friend!

Thank you for showing me how to find Wordle -- I've been seeing them on other blogs and wondered how to do it. But! I could not see how to copy my creation to my blog. I've looked through the site's FAQ but didn't find answer. Can you tell me how you did it?
Thank you very much...

P.S. Because I didn't see where it asks if I "want to display the Wordle on my blog" as you instructed Valie Gal... Thanks!
