Cabin Mate Millie

My dog was with me all the time.
I talked to my dog. She was my best buddy.
I shared all my secrets with her.
- Cathy Guisewite

The evenings, in the cabin, are my favorite time of day. As the stars come out and the river roars and shadows play on the wall, Millie and I curl up in the bed and tell secrets. Last night I made a trail mix of jelly beans, honey mustard pretzels and popcorn. It's my new low fat favorite. (Millie preferred cheese.) We dressed in our pajamas (Millie opted to stay in her brown fur ones) and stayed up and munched on our snacks and watched Emma on Masterpiece Theatre. She's the best cabin mate a working girl could wish for: quiet, sweet, warm and happy. Always happy. And eye-watering adorable:

Even as she's falling asleep.

Sorry there's no MM today. Just couldn't get my brain in gear that way. As a peace offering I have cabin pictures coming tomorrow. Your eyes will fall out of your head. Just warning ya.

Millie has grown so much. She's not looking puppy-like very much. She is just the sweetest cabin mate you could hope to find. Love her brown fur p.j.'s. Can't wait to see the pictures tomorrow. ~Adrienne~

Wow! How much Millie has grown in the short time you've been gone. There is such wisdom and character in her face ... even though she's a tired little girl. Rub her tummy for me. xxoo

I'm new to the world of blogging, but I'd love to subscribe to this blog. Can you tell me how to do that? Thanks!

I was hoping you would share some cabin photos with us, I can't wait to see them! Millie has changed already, such a grown up face but what a sweetie!

Darling pictures, Brin. I'm reading both Leigh MacLeroy books at the moment. Thank you so much for suggesting them. I took a month deciding which to order first and then got the bright idea to just order both. I knew I would not be disappointed and I wasn't. Have you read Same Kind of Different as Me? You would love it! Being a Texas girl, I can't imagine that you haven't yet.

Hugs,
Lallee

Awww, she's just so sweet. I wish I could get one of her litter mates. If they are half as cute as her, they are adorable. :o)

Glad you're having a nice, relaxing time together. You deserve a nice, peaceful "break". Enjoy.

Oh, I too am looking forward to cabin photos. :o)

Blessings,
mickey

Wish I could switch places with you! Cabin & puppy serenity sounds ideal. Instead, I am in suburbia listening to the sound of my clothes dryer. Did you enjoy watching Emma? I've been following the Austen series for the past few months. LOVE those movies!
