Freeman House, Winter 2008

Today I'm dreaming of snowfalls. Of scarves and blankets and roaring fires and bubbling stews. And when I saw this beautiful craft idea, I started crying.

I think it reminded me of Freeman House.

I think it spoke to the comfort I'm yearning for today.

I think I'm going to stock up on candles and jars and make a few of these this week. ...

I think comfort is what we're all yearning for ... don't you.

Comfort & love.
Love & comfort.

ps ...

and speaking of comfort & love.

How is that sweet chocolate girl ?
I know my terrier mix side kick Miss Winnie Dixon is my most consistent source of comfort & love. Nothing sweeter than dog kisses. Please give Miss M a big kiss from us.

Those candle jars are so pretty, and so simple!
I agree about yearning for winter...here it already feels like autumn is upon is in the midst of August...I can't say I'm sad, I am looking forward to soup and hot chocolate weather! ;) xxx

I'm right with you Brin, yearning for coolness and a soft snowfall. For a candlelight night eating soup and crusty bread. For a warm blanket and contentment. We'll get it all someday and rejoice together!

Oh, Brin, I understand the longing and the tears for what has been. What a beautiful project.

During my quiet time, this verse (in a "new" version to me) really blessed me. a future and a hope. for us.

Life has its surprises and this is something we can not control. The one thing we can control is our attitude. We all long for comfort and love and look for it in the wrong places sometimes, There is only one who can help us and I think you already know who that is,

Thanks for the link.
I'm not quite yearning for winter yet, but the thoughts of warm stews and lighting the fire again are appealing to me.
And dare I say it and freak everyone out.. Christmas is only 17 weeks away!
