Five Days of Thanks

I've had such abundant beauty in my life. All my life. It may be a simple offering, but today I'm thankful for the quiet beauty I've seen, breathed, experienced, lived. There are so many instances I look back on, but these are a few favorites from the past two years:

For the beauty of the earth
For the glory of the skies,
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies,
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise.

Brin-
Those are beautiful memories.
Amazing photos - what kind of camera do you use (we're in the market for one, but which one?)

J Fritz- I have a canon powershot A80, which I don't think they make anymore. Understandably so, because it's terrible. Truly. I really hate this camera and have since the day I got it. Plan to get a new one over the holidays, although I haven't decided which one I want to try....

You know, one of the little things I am grateful for was the day I stumbled across your blog. Not only did your writing make 2 days in bed with the flu much more bearable, I've also purchased a few things from your Etsy shop which I enjoy almost every day. And I still love your writing and your photos - too bad you hate the camera, but at least the results are nice :-)

Happy Thanksgiving from Tine in Denmark

Loved your post... and thought I might chime in on camera's. If anyone is in the market for a new camera the Canon Power Shot SX10IS is a GREAT point and shoot camera.

I got one last year and love it. I don't mind taking it out and about on the farm here. Where as with my DSL I worry about something chewing it or breaking it. It's a canon also, and older model but great.

just my two cents for what it's worth.

I can't find your email birthday sister so I have to use this forum to reach you...PLEASE go to my blog at www.thestoryoflilly.blogspot.com and read about an 11 year old girl with the kind of faith that will blow your socks right off your feet. You are gonna LOVE it. These images are beautiful. Simply beautiful. Love the one with the flower petals on the floor the best. Happy Thanksgiving. I'm thankful I met YOU!!!

Brin,
Amen--and may Our Lord continue to bless you and inspire you to share your creativity and faith with us. I count it a great blessing to have come across your blog--the title alone cried out "That's YOU! Pay attention!"

Funny thing - the night I left that comment my husband came home with a brand new Insignia camera. I don't know how it compares to the two mentioned, but it's light years ahead of the dinosaur we had. I'm thankful for a thoughtful husband!
