Postcard From My Heart, No. 3

The last letter this week. Thanks for sitting by as my heart sloshed onto paper and puddled into these lines. You've been so kind. -Brin

You saw me.
Before I was,
before I fell,
before I knew,
You were there.
And You loved me.
Oh, how You love me.

And how You've stayed.
Right here.
Closer than a prayer...
closer than the air
I breathe back to You
asking for grace,
seeking Your face,
needing to know
You'll come through.
Oh, how You come through.

How do I tell You?
How do I offer thanks
for the wonders You do,
The wonder You are?
How do I thank
the One who traded
His comfort for mine?
His life for mine?
How does one regard her Redeemer?
Because He saved.
Oh, how He saves.

I saw You.
After I was,
after I fell,
after I knew I needed You,
I drew near.
Found You still here.
Along with Your grace,
Your compassionate face
Seeing me
Seeing me through.
It's the marvel of You.
Oh, I marvel at You.

Did you write this? It sounds like music and if it's your own you need to contact a songwriter sweets! You have so many talents!

When I read this it automatically became a song in my head. Is it meant to be lyrics? Either way, it's absolutely beautiful.

I'm joining others in wondering if these verses are yours. Thank you for always sharing your heart. He really has been there "closer than a prayer...closer than the air." Blessings to you Brin.

You really have a talent, Brin. And to think...at one time your blog was gone....
Thank God it was temporary.
Can't wait to see the cool things you do around your new home.

Brin, thank you for sharing from your heart these beautiful, thought-provoking words. You have a gift... He has given you beauty of expression. I have been reading through and sensing you are having a really hard time, but I also sense that you are secure in who you are in the Lord.... and that makes all the difference.

Blessings and hugs,
Christi
