Stripes and Summer

Sneaking in to tell you that I spent some time over the Memorial Day weekend dreaming up some breezy summer totes for us all. (Because we know, of course, that totes are all the rage this summer.) Thought I'd tell you that the first are up in the Etsy Shop, and I promise more as the summer wears, happily, on.

Stop by and shop - without getting up - by clicking here.

And. I think I'm reconsidering blogging. I'm considering a return to blogging. With stipulations. Stipulations that involve earning money. (Sigh). I just don't know. I just can't decide....

Do what you have to do! I would love to see you blogging again even if it meant there were ads/sponsors!

It's your life, sweete! Do what you want! I'm a thinking, just maybe, that you are finding out what many of us have - that blogging is an outlet that helps you speak what's on your mind and get it out into the open air. I miss your posts, but understand you need to do what is best for you. I'm sure, whatever you choose to do, the decision will be made prayerfully. Becky G.

Go for it girlfriend !! there are so many, many fantastic (now famous) blogs that have visually pleasing and content appropriate advertising - dooce, pioneer woman, practically all the great decor/design blogs - I don't get why advertising is perceived as bad if it's appropriate (cooking, gardening, crafting, home decor, & book sites would be totally appropriate here) and not ugly looking I say Go For It !!!

ps. the bags are great !!

You do what you have to do to take care of yourself, mind, body and soul. If that means we get to read more blogs...YAY!!! If not, it is still nice being able to catch up with the newsletter and facebook. But just so you know, you are missed!

I have missed your blog and won't mind ads. I read several blogs with ads and they do not bother me. I'm glad talented bloggers like you are able to earn money doing this!

Hey Brin, I just got a leap in my heart! I hope you do share the "life and times of Brin" with us again! We love to read about your gumpton, grit and grace. Your words and stories are always so refreshing, facinating and full of your courageous, adventurous spirit which inspires us all. You are an amazing writer. I think returning to blogging would be the best thing for your business. I encourage you to make an income through your blog! I never understood why any one would have a problem with that. Have some ads, who cares, we all have to make a living. You have so many fans, you could write an e-book, we would all love to buy it and we would all benefit!(let's see...10 dollars x 1000 ebooks...hmmmm!) If you do I'll announce it on my blog to promote it! Are you familiar with problogger.net ? If not, it's a great resource for ideas on how to make an income through your blog. It's really a win win situation. You win, we win. And if you do decide to start up again, do yourself a favor and only post HOW OFTEN AND WHEN YOU WANT TO, you are a busy gal with a full plate, we all understand that. Enjoy your life, do what you need to do to make it enjoyable. Well, that's my little pat on the back for you today sugar! You go girl!
God Bless you!

Ah Girl, quit fightin' it. You love spending time with us, and writing is good medicine for you. A return to blogging doesn't mean you have to do it every single day. Blog as much as you want, even if its only every now and then. No pressure. :)

Its good to see you again...I'm off to check out the totes....

it would be so awesome to have you back! And I agree with your other readers that there is nothing wrong with having ads run on your blog. I also think the idea of an e-book or something similar is a great idea too. I would also promote it on my blog (though I don't get a lot of traffic).
I know I'm not alone in saying that I hope you come back!
I liked reading your update and seeing your hankies and totes! I feel the need to do some summer sewing myself soon!

I'm so glad you are considering coming back. I've been reading your blog as a lurker for a good while and have finally come out of the shadows :) I had missed the pics of your pretty library, so am going to go get caught up now. So good to see you back!

These are different times. We need to use the resources we have. Everyone knows that.

Just recently Rhonda at http://down---to---earth.blogspot.com/ here in Australia made the same decision.

I'd love to continue hearing of your journey.

All the best with your decision making! If you do, would you consider making your comments page a pop up window rather than a full page change??

Warm thoughts from South Australia.

Brin, so excited that you are considering coming back and blogging! you have been greatly missed! Although I have enjoyed getting Henrybella updates on Facebook...I miss hearing what is going on in your world (besides cooking that is!) and what God is doing in your heart. It has always been so encouraging - your realness, that is. Oh, and I tend to 'tune out' ads so I haven't a problem with them one bit! Take care and hope to hear from you soon! :) Tara
