Pretty Maids...

...all in a row.

It's cloudy today and windy - just like spring. It's supposed to rain buckets tomorrow but that didn't stop me from splashing just a bit of water at the maids' feet anyway. They make my heart glad.

And so do you. The outpouring of kindness and... well, the entire response I got from yesterday's news... is overwhelming. My Blackberry's nearly exploded with your comments, email and text messages, and it all has continued today. Thank you. Thanks to you all. If you emailed with a specific request or question, I'd appreciate heaps of patience as I begin to sift through all this and get back to everyone.

I loved what many of you wrote about turning 30. Being in your 30s. Thank you for that encouragement. I'm praying for a beautiful and calm decade. I'm longing to trade a messy, thrilling existence in for a beautiful, calm one. A girl can hope, anyway, can't she? This morning I pinned this quote to my mirror:

Faith has to do with things that are not seen
and hope with things that are not at hand.
-St. Thomas Aquinas

So here's to you. And here's to things that are not yet at hand.

Keep those email addresses coming here. I'd hate for you to miss the May newsletter....

Hi Brin, Your daffodils are so pretty. Mine are up now too. Thank you for your quote on faith. I'm standing on faith right now for a divine healing. God has done a great work with me over the last few weeks, asking me to believe and fully trust in Him, so I'm jumping into the deep, trusting him for a mighty healing for my sister. Your quote came right in time for me. :)
I need to run to your previous post to post my email. I don't want to miss out on your newsletter. I hate to lose your blog, you're one of my favs, but I trust your reasons. My 30s were an incredible time for me, a time of growth and enlightenment and an amazing transformation. I know yours will be too. I just hit the big 50 last month, and it just keeps getting better.

P.S. I'll convo you soon on those house helpers. Been just a wee bit busy lately. And I'll DEFINITELY be looking for your market totes. Take care and good luck on the job search!

Very exciting to see a post today as somehow I had it in my mind that yesterday's was the very end. Good. This will give me time to bend my head around it.

The daffodils are wonderful...

30, you're just a babe! I'm 41 and just figuring out my bearings in life. Good news. It's all uphill from here. No, really. Your 30's are wide open because you're emotionally mature enough to find that right person in your life. They will come, the minute you stop looking to them to fulfill your life and you trust God to bring them to you. That's how it always works. That's why your faith is so important. One thing I learned with my walk with God is that to let him do it. Don't try to force it yourself. He knows what you want and need before you ever even ask. That's the true meaning of providence. What a great thing providence is. God is directing our path through providence. It's not chance, as the world would have us think, it's God driving our life as he intended. He has our path drawn out before we can mark the sand. How great is it to be able to let him lead us on our path to him?

I am sorry to see you go. I wish wonderful things to come for you. You are so wise to be so young. Freeman house is beautiful. I would like your newsletter. My name is Sandy and my e-mail is garyballinger@sbcglobal.net. I, like some of the others, wish you would leave your blog up for inspirational reading. OR, as someone mentioned, why not a book. I believe most of your readers would buy a book with your recipes and "stories."
