Luster on the Porch and Tree-Dotted Sky

There is a harmony in autumn,
and a luster in its sky,
which through the summer
is not heard or seen.
-Percy Bysshe Shelley

One down. One to go. The second party is tonight and I'm a busy blur this morning trying to get tea brewed and mop water run and decorations out and up.

The porch is getting some attention, too. The sagging, crumbling, old-as-dirt-so-it-is-almost-dirt front porch. We found a board underneath the porch... nailed to a support bea... that reads: PAUL 1913. Local history says Freeman House was lowered onto logs and rolled down the hill to where she sits now in 1912, the year the Titanic sank. Apparently they slapped this porch on the front in 1913, which makes it 94 years old. Really needs to come down. I'm afraid she won't make it to see her 100th.

I'll worry about it another day. For now, I'm busy with decorating for fall without the use of mums and pumpkins. Our little produce stand gets them in tonight, I'm told. Darn. A day late.

Are the leaves beginning to turn where you are? They are here. It's beautiful. Tomorrow is the first day of autumn, isn't it? I can't wait.

No pretty leaves yet but getting close. The Virginia creeper is turning bright red which means other color is around the corner. I am ready to put out pumkins, too but DH wants me to wait so they don't rot too soon.

Rainy, cool and damp here today. The rain is really appreciated. Not much color yet, but it is starting. Your decorations are beautiful even though there are no pumkins yet. I have plenty of pine cones but somehow never thought of them with the fall decorations. See what an inspiration you are to us...LOL

What a special treasure you found under the old porch. We lived in an old house in another town and found two treasures under the porch. It endeared the house to us more than ever.

Your decorations are wonderful. I've been holding off with autumn things because of our unseasonably warm weather. Yesterday had some cold chills in the air and the feel of fall. I put a bouquet of muted silk flowers in autumn tones on the table. Now I'm getting into the autumn mood. I usually wait until October 1st so won't go full swing ahead. Just bits and pieces to tease the eye!

Thank you for the inspiration you always give me. Wish I lived close enough to stop in for tea and a good visit.

Disease happens through poor eating habits, many toxins get accumulated
in our blood and tissues. Some people react to other yeasts so
do better excluding yeast products. Most people believe the liver
is an important human organ because it works as get my girlfriend backifier
naturally. Take two tablespoons of organic maple syrup and lemon, stirring to combine.
It didnt fill me up and just because I am thinking about all the foods I'm not 'allowed'- I want them.
