A Story Marker Giveaway!

I'm really enjoying my little story markers. It truly is the simple things that add up to make a pretty life...

Since a few folks are asking about them, here's the 'behind the scenes' on the latest item in my etsy shop. If you're anything like me- a dreamy, bookish type- you're reading a dozen things right now: books, magazines, catalogues, journals, cookbooks. And it's hard to keep track of where you are in all these places, isn't it?

The beautiful solution: a Story Marker Set. Made from cast aside, repurposed books, magazines, catalogues, lists, recipes, etc., these corner bookmarkers are a smart and simple way to keep your place in the story- without damaging your book. No more dog-eared pages or bent spines! I've adored turning my old reads and pages into something useful and pretty- while keeping my books in good shape, too.

This week, for my blog readers only, I'm offering free shipping on all domestic orders for my Story Marker sets. Just enter the coupon code MYTHRILLINGSTORY as you check out and taxes and shipping are on me!

For those who can't order at this time, I want to send two sets off to a good home. So here's the deal: comment on this post and tell me your thrilling story in 100 words or less. On Monday, the day after Mother's Day, I'll draw two lucky stories and their authors will get a Story Marker Set of their own! Please make sure you leave either a link to your blog or your email address so I can reach you. :)

Thanks for being here, thanks for sharing, and thanks so much for your support. It means everything to me.  -Brin

  1. Hello Brin,

Thank you for the opportunity to win a set of your sweet bookmarkers. My story? I am a homeschooling momma to an amazing gifted Irish dancing lass and wife of ten years to an everlovin' hubbie, who is an environmental steward by day. We live traditionally as we can in our little corner of Seattle Suburbia, tending chickens, growing and preserving food, and looking forward to the day when we can live close to 100% self-sufficient and share the bounty with others.

Greatly admire your blog and community,
    Whit

  2. I’m a wife, mom of 2, worship leader, wanna-be-writer and dog owner. My hubby at 41 has gone on a crazy health ride the last few years starting with Necrotizing Fasciitis (flesh eating disease) and just recently leapt into kidney failure and vision loss. Surprisingly, I’ve found the luxury of extra time on my hands while waiting at doctor appointments or dialysis treatments to read. It’s been a beautiful perk to indulge in my favorite stress reliever during this harrying time in our lives. And I would LOVE to have a set of your gorgeous and ingenious Story Markers!

  3. Hi Brin,
I don't tend to think of my story as "thrilling," but my life is certainly BLESSED! I can testify that God is good.
And, I would feel quite blessed to win a set of your pretty story markers. :)
    In Christ,
    Katie

  4. Hello Brin,
I'm a wife, mom to 3 beautiful daughters ( 1 biological and 2 nieces I have raised after the death of my sister & brother in law almost 15 years ago), I have learned that we only get one chance in this world and we must make the most of it. I want my joy to be untouched by circumstance. I love your blog and your joy of simplicity. I especially love to read and would love to haave your bookmarks. :)Sherri@Junebugmom11@yahoo.com

  5. Hi Brin
I know I'm too late for the bookmarkers but wanted to write quickly and say "well done" for finding such a great new purpose for paper scraps. They look wonderful. I have been chopping up all sorts of paper and taking it to the Book-binders to have them made into journals. Lots of fun.
    Cheers,
    Meg B.
