Window Into My... Brain

My habits (obsessions) of late: making my own cheddar cheese. Sewing thick quilts for the cabin. And reading everything I can find on the reality of quantitative easing.

I'm an exciting gal, eh?

Guess that's why today has me so nervous. Quick, somebody hand me some homemade cheese to gnaw on...

I look at this Laura George piece often. Isn't it fabulous? Only I want one the way Jesus put it: when these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

Maranatha.

  2. Vee,

    :D

Quantitative easing can be complex, but today it basically means that the Fed has decided to "buy" about $500 billion of our own debt. Economic forecasters know that move is risky, and experts say it may result in further wrecking the dollar and causing staggering inflation. By 20% or more. It means that prices could continue to rise and the dollars in our purses will continue to buy less and less. If handled badly, it could also freak China and other US debt-holding nations. It's a desperate and bad sign... one we were told to watch for as the US economy errodes and gives way to a global financial system.

Here's a pretty basic article that's more articulate than I am, if you're interested: http://www.cnbc.com/id/39984322

Sorry. It's days like this I miss being a reporter. :D

  4. Wow...you continue to surprise me. I've been reading your blog for sometime and still smile in wonder and pause to contemplate your commnets. And I feel secure because our Lord is in control. I see that knowledge in your words too.

But I truly wonder about the wisdom of men. "Buying" debt???
