Sorry I've been absent. It appears I've moved into a period of strong wind. Instead of cursing it, I'm trying to embrace it. The stronger the wind, the stronger the tree. As I prepare for this week - the week I'll deed Freeman House away - I keep repeating the phrase to myself. That, and this: He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. (Colossians 1:17) I can't tell you the comfort that verse brings, the thought that my loving, compassionate God goes ahead of me. That He's already in my tomorrow... has already okay'd everything that will come my way. He is before all my things, and in Him I will hold together. It has become my mantra.
Thank you for your patience and encouragement during all this wind. Hoping this week brings you comforting, held-together things. -Brin
I love that verse in Colossians. He and I both know He's the only reason I "hold together"! It keeps us very close : )!! Please keep us up with where He takes you. It is a privilege to pray for you and to walk this journey with you as much as is possible through blogland.

(((((HUGS))))) You are in my prayers. ~ Heather ~
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful scripture. I will definitely be underlining that one in my Bible.
ReplyDeletethinking about you...hoping there are good things to come on the horizon. in fact, i am certain there are.
ReplyDeleteMay God go with you as you live each moment in the coming days. May you continue to feel His peace and comfort.
ReplyDeleteI think of you often and pray for you Brin. Isn't that the strangest thing? To think so much of someone who I have never met and am unlikely to ever meet? Your losing Freeman house breaks my heart. I am sad for the loss of your grandfather. I am glad that you are holding on to Gods promises and strength. I hope you will continue to share this journey that God takes you through.

Brin, no need to apolize for being absent, your plate is full, we understand! I'm gonna take note of that verse, I love it! And the quote too, so true! Holding you close in prayer with plenty of hugs on the side! You will overcome!
ReplyDeleteBrin, I'm so sorry for this valley you're in right now. It just seems like too much for one person to handle at one time. You have the perfect outlook that will get you through it though. God keeps His promises, and He has promised to use all things for the good of those who love Him. Who knows what could be around the corner for you!
ReplyDelete((HUGS)) Please let us know if there is any way we can help.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing that verse as I often pray to be held together but didn't know or remember the verse. I'm glad with you that the long week is over and I pray that when you think of those times that they will be more sweet than bitter.
ReplyDeleteI am going through one of those seasons as well, and one of my favorite verses right now is Romans 8:28;
ReplyDeleteAnd we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Praying for strength, comfort and wisdom for you, and that He would prepare your path before you.
Embrace the wind and ride along where God wills you. Everything is as it should be, dear girl, and He will let you know when you've reached your destination. Lots of good things coming your way. I feel it. xxoo
ReplyDeleteExcellent scripture and quote to grab hold of.
ReplyDeleteMay the Lord give you His perfect peace as you go through this week.

I'm so sorry. The strong winds of life have definitely been blowing your way. But He is faithful. You are not alone. And when we are at our weakest, His strength will see us through. Every time. In every circumstance. Nothing is too hard for Him. Stay strong. I believe it was Tozer who said that those who have gone through much are those who God is able to use much. Not a morsel of your loss, struggles, etc., will be wasted.
ReplyDeletePraying for your journey...
Beautiful. Prayers & thoughts for you today!
