Just in case it's all snowy or cloudy or nasty where you are, I thought I'd show you my broccoli. Here. Have another peep:
Every now and then, it's good to glimpse a garden. Puts hope in the soul again somehow. (At least it does mine. But I
am rather strange that way.)
Last weekend of 2008. Where did the time go?
Your broccoli is beautiful. :) That sounded strange but I meant it! Here's to a prosperous (in many ways) 2009!
ReplyDeleteI think broccoli plants are really lovely. You have been blessed with such a nice yield from your garden this year. Wishing you a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year, sweet girl! xxoo
ReplyDeleteThank you for the glimpse of your garden. I too like to peep into the garden. Reminds me that we're always growing...a view of life...gives hope.
ReplyDeleteOur garden is full of all kinds of lettuce, snow peas, and cabbage. Though I don't quite understand the cabbage. It's suppose to form a ball, but it is all leafy.
Hi Brin,
ReplyDeleteI have great hopes for a vegetable garden come spring and pumpkins.
Also wondering if you mailed out the calendars yet...anxiously awaiting mine.
Thanks,
Pam
Brin:
ReplyDeleteThat is so neat to see something so green when everything at my home is dry and brown. Wish a big snow storm would just come and cover it all up till spring!

Wow, I didn't know that broccoli was up and growing somewhere... it seems rather amazing to me!
ReplyDeleteI don't know. Wish I did. The broccoli is so green. Hope...it's a good thing.
ReplyDeleteYour broccoli looks beautiful and I have no doubt it will be delicious when it is ready. You are making me miss Texas.
ReplyDeleteGardens do put hope in the soul, new life, and what pretty broccoli you have ! I'm so ready to plan the garden this year, our first here, I can't wait and it will include some broccoli! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about our garden this next year! We've grown broccoli only once I think ...
ReplyDeleteI recently came across your blog and I'm really enjoying it! It really IS so nice to see something (anything!) green at this time of year, especially where I live! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the glimpse of green.
ReplyDeleteEverything is white here and very cold.
The garden brings hope to the soul doesn't it? I've had tulip bulbs chilling in my cold room for a few months. Tommorow they get potted up
! :)
I'm already reading new garden books planning for spring.
Looks so delish..what an encouraging photo, we're in the throes of winter and all we think about it shoveling snow, so seeing something green is awesome!
ReplyDeleteIt's always a shock to realize that some people can actually grow things in the winter.
ReplyDeleteGood for you!

Brin,
ReplyDeleteHow dare you bring broccoli into my life? LOL! We have 42" of snow. As a Texan trnsplanted in WA, I am in awe of your cruciferious vegetable. This is a strange winter, with more snow to come. I am longing for lettuce, broccoli, peas, etc. I want to fly to Freeman House. PLEASE????
