Happiness is a butterfly,
which when pursued,
is always just beyond your grasp,
but which, if you will sit down quietly,
may alight upon you.
-Nathaniel Hawthorne
... sunflowers...
... a butterfly...
... and happiness. Yellow, fluttery happiness. It alighted on me today.
What price would you put on contentedness - would you put on these golden moments - if you could put a price on it all? Me? Well... I'm not sure. But I know I wouldn't give all the money in the world for a day like today. A day when the summer sun, a sunflower, and a butterfly met me along my way.
Everyone, meet happiness... unpursued.

Look it you~ doubly blessed with visits from sunshine & butterflies.
ReplyDeleteSunflowers always make me stop & wonder; they are among my favorites.
I've always seen balloons in the distance, usually up in the sky since we have a balloon outfit in town; this was my first "up close & personal" encounter- but I'm still not going up in one :)
Now that is a beautiful trio of happiness found!
